Madoka Abo

Inspired by her mother, who worked at a Shiseido specialty store, Madoka Abo began to aspire to become a professional hair and makeup artist when she was in junior high school. After graduating from the Shiseido Beauty Academy, she joined Shiseido in 2008. After several years of gaining salon work experience as a beautician, she began her career as a hair and makeup artist. Abo has been involved in various projects, including advertising and product development for Shiseido makeup brands, and creating hair and makeup looks for fashion shows in Paris, New York, and Tokyo.

At the cosmetics brand ettusais, she was in charge of makeup for advertisements created by the art director Yuni Yoshida, and actively involved in Instagram LIVE, where she provided makeup techniques directly to users. Currently, she oversees the makeup brand "Maquillage" and mainly works on makeup looks that are shared through Instagram.

At the "WWD BEAUTY Hair Designers Contest," a photo contest started by WWD BEAUTY in 2018 for beauticians nationwide, she won the first grand prize for perfectly meeting the criteria of "total balance of hair, makeup, fashion, etc." with the judges commenting that "everything was perfect.”

With an artistic sense cultivated in the field of cutting-edge fashion and extensive experience working on various beauty advertisements, Abo specializes in expressions that intertwine current beauty and fashion trends, and will further expand her activities in the future.
